Step into a world of wonder, elegance, and philanthropy at the Mamas for a Cause 6th Annual Fundraiser Event, Cirque de la Vie - Circus of Life. We are thrilled to announce that the beneficiary of our fundraising efforts will be for The Pennington Cancer Institute at Renown's Conrad Breast Center! 

This unforgettable evening will transport you to the magical and mysterious world of the Circus of Life. Every act reflects the beauty, challenges, and triumphs of the human experience. From dazzling cirque-inspired performances to live music, gourmet libations, and a shared mission of giving back - this night is all about gathering women together to celebrate life.

Our focus will be raising funds to support the groundbreaking new Conrad Breast Center at Renown. It will not only serve as a state-of-the-art facility but also make Reno a landmark in cancer care, positioning it as the first comprehensive breast cancer care center in Nevada. The Conrad Breast Center at Renown, opening in 2025, will offer a host of comprehensive services: Imaging (Mammograms, Ultrasounds, MRI), Risk Assessment, Genetic Counseling, Breast Surgical Oncology, Breast Medical Oncology, Infusion Services, Pharmacy, Wellness Center, and Clinical Research. Support for the Conrad Breast Center will help ensure that patients have access to the highest level of comprehensive breast health care, cutting-edge technology and clinical research right in their community. As a not-for-profit health system, Renown relies on the generosity of the community to help fund vital initiatives. The Renown Health Foundation plays a key role in raising financial support to drive innovation, enhance care services, and provide advanced technology, programs, and equipment to meet the growing healthcare needs of our community. 

Our nonprofit, Mamas For a Cause, has felt a strong calling to support this mission, as we know that breast cancer impacts so many lives. Did you know that 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime? This is a reality that touches us all. The Renown Foundation’s mission is to make Renown the premier healthcare destination in Nevada and we are honored to join them in this crucial fight. All proceeds benefit We rise by lifting others through creating events that CONRAD BREAST CENTER inspire, cultivate connection, and serve our community.

Mark your calendars for our 5th Annual Fundraising Dinner and Auction on January 20th, 2024!

We are excited to announce that we have officially selected Awaken as this year's recipient. Awaken is a local faith-based non-profit organization whose mission is to increase awareness and education surrounding the issue of commercial sexual exploitation and to provide housing and restoration for its victims. Awaken's survivor advocates connect with women through jail, online, and street outreach efforts, providing information about our life-changing services. In 2022, we reached over 1,268 women through these efforts. Awaken offers a survivor-run Drop-In Center, housing, and case management services for individuals affected by commercial sexual exploitation in Reno. Education, therapy, mentoring, employment and housing assistance are all offered. Fundraising for this event is going towards much needed housing for Awaken's survivors.

This year's theme is Under the Northern Lights, so plan for OUT OF THIS WORLD attire! Strut the red carpet of Reno in your most daring attire. We are women supporting women, learning and supporting their community. Being the bright, unique light of the community is the theme of the night.
